OnEdu AI

The OnEdu learning environment was originally developed in 2013-2015 in collaboration with around 2,400 teachers and 35,000 students in 100 Finnish schools and colleges. It has now been updated to meet today’s accessibility, security/safety requirements, and enhanced with secure Microsoft Azure AI built into the system.

The First AI Learning Environment on the Market

OnEdu stands out with its AI Course Creator, which can generate the first version of online courses, complete with media and H5P tasks, in under 15 minutes. This content can be easily modified, translated, or tailored for different learners. The AI engine, powered by Microsoft Azure, ensures a secure environment for teachers.

There will also be a personal AI-based student assistant, who will help students regardless of time (24/7) and place to understand the course content and provide explanations in different languages if necessary. This will help, for example, immigrants to better understand the course content and learn the local language at the same time. The student can also ask an assistant to create different levels of individualised tasks related to the subject area. The learning assistant will be uploaded by the teacher for analysis of all own source material related to the course, from the online course to the teacher’s supplementary material.

An AI-based personal study assistant will level the playing field for students, e.g. in preparation for matriculation exams or postgraduate studies, as now everyone has the opportunity to review what they have learned without expensive refresher/prep courses. Internationally, this is even more important, as not everyone can afford expensive private tutors.

Everything You Need in One System

OnEdu AI is the most versatile learning environment for experiential and collaborative learning (LXP) on the market, with all the functionality you need built-in. In total, there are more than seventy interactive tools for content enrichment and, for example, H5P tools work within the system so that you don’t need external licences to use them. Additional services include eTeacher intranet, subject-specific pages and safety channels, all designed to enhance the learning experience.

A Secure and Safe Service

The OnEdu service integrates with existing systems like AD and comlies with European GDPR regulations and other data protection standards. Each installation includes a Data Protection Assessment.

All data is stored on Mobie’s European servers, with Microsoft’s Azure Open AI ensuring robust security.
